You will find us in a beautiful late-eighteenth-century building that has conserved the large entrance and main staircase, in addition to a lovely period inner courtyard. Next door is the Gastrobar, perfect for a snack or drink during the day while you use the free wifi. 

Our rooms have been renovated in a very contemporary style, including the family room, where all the gang will enjoy a full suite of amenities. Don’t miss the large breakfast buffet; we start each morning with and if you have a big event coming up you can organise it in our Salón Real , the ideal space for your business meetings. 

Come to the Catalonia Puerta del Sol hotel and you will stay in a building from the end of the 18th century, classified as part of the historical complex of the town of Madrid and which bears the title of Artistic Heritage of the City. In addition, the property is one of the first to be built in the area. During the restoration of the building we wanted to give special prominence to the main entrance, an old entrance hall originally fitted out for horse carriages.

The restoration work on this entrance was, without a doubt, the most complicated, since it is a floor embedded with stones weighing 200 kg each, which had to receive a specific treatment to preserve it in the best conditions. Upon your arrival, you will be amazed by the two 3.5-meter-high doors that maintain the old ironwork.

On the other hand, the main staircase is unique in the area and of great beauty: we were able to rescue the steps and wooden balustrades with plaster moldings in their entirety. The interior of the hotel is articulated around the interior patio typical of the time where, according to the neighbors, "chulapos" from the neighborhood would gather to smoke and talk to the women. Decorated with plants and modern furniture, it is a rest space crowned by a skylight on the top floor, which gives it great light.

Some of our rooms overlook this exclusive patio and all are renovated with the most up-to-date design. If you like to feel the hustle and bustle of the city, choose the double rooms with views of Atocha street and, if you want to stay in complete comfort, our suite is waiting for you with a separate bedroom and living room.
